Guilded Youth by Jim Munroe
You play Tony, a fourteen-year old thief who needs some help looting the legendary Oakville Manor. Luckily it's the 1980s and finding fellow adventurers is just a modem squeal away...

I don't know how else to say it, but I LOVED this game. It did such a good job of balancing that slice of life vibe with lite horror, and the way it used the party selection system to define the game's character interactions and ultimately the game's ending was excellent. I also really loved these characters and thought I really knew them by the end of the game. An excellent experience, and I'd kill to have Ryan in my party any day!
