The World Of Awe
Terrorhouse
By Jess Frances Bullock
Episode 12
No Animals Were Harmed
Glynn really didn't want to be on this trip. He didn't like horror movies, and he felt like he shouldn't be seeing this one anyway because its age rating was 15, and his fifteenth birthday wasn't until November. But his class had the best attendence for the last few weeks, and this was their reward. The staff must have thought that a Year 10 class would prefer going to see a film with an age rating of 15, even if not all of them were actually that age yet. But why would they force everyone to watch a
horror movie that would have some upsetting scenes, as well as jump scares? And possibly flashing lights as well?
Oh well, at least he was missing PE for this.
Mrs Stair: Alright, remember to be quiet because there are other people watching as well.
Paige: That won't be easy if things are going to make us scream.
Mrs Stair: Well, I'm sure the other people will be screaming as well, so that will be an exception. Maybe I'll scream too. I never really liked these movies.
Glynn: What's it called again?
Miss Greensky: Cruelty.
Glynn: Just Cruelty?
Miss Greensky: Yes, and I hope it doesn't include animal cruelty. A lot of horror movies like to have animals killed for some reason. Even the offscreen ones still upset me.
Noli: I saw the trailer and it doesn't appear to have any animals involved, but I could be wrong. It's mainly about someone finding different ways to torture and kill people. I don't have much of a problem seeing it with humans, but with animals...
Paige: Why are they allowing us to see this?!
Glynn: I have no idea. Oh, looks like the adverts are starting now.
